Phase 3: Turning Community Values Into Action
Phase 3 is all about building on what we heard during the story gathering process and exploring how the things that matter most to our community can help shape the future of Colonial Beach.
Using the finalized statements as a guide, residents will have opportunities to explore ideas, identify priorities, and help shape possible future actions for the 22443 community.

Phase 4: Putting Community Values Into Practice
In Phase 4, the finalized Heart & Soul Statements are formally adopted and used to help guide future planning, decision making, and community priorities.
But the work doesn’t stop there.
The real work of Community Heart & Soul begins after the four phases are complete.
Heart & Soul is an ongoing practice that helps local leaders better understand what matters most to residents while creating stronger partnerships between the community and those helping shape its future.
At the end of the day, we all have something important in common:
