For the past year, we’ve been listening to residents across the 22443 through stories, interviews surveys, community events, and conversations.
People shared what they love, what concerns them, and what they hope for the future. From these conversations, Community Heart & Soul statements emerged.

These four final Community Value Statements represent what matters most to residents across the 22443 area. Developed through hundreds of community conversations and refined through public feedback, they reflect the shared values that will help guide future decisions, planning, and community action.
Our Journey: From Drafts to Final Statements
The Community Heart & Soul process is designed to be collaborative and transparent. After listening to hundreds of stories shared by residents throughout the 22443 area, our team identified common themes and created eight Draft Community Value Statements. These drafts reflected what we heard and were shared with the community for additional feedback.
As more residents participated through community events, surveys, and conversations, the statements were refined, combined, and strengthened . The result is the four Final Community Value Statements above, which represent the shared values our community identified as most important .

These Community Value Statements are the foundation for the next phase of the Community Heart & Soul process. Community members, local organizations, and leaders will work together to identify projects and opportunities that bring these shared values to life.
